I agree 100%...I am a founder for deaf victims abused by Catholic school for the deaf, I hired 2 interpreters to communicate with media news crews for 2 days - charged me 945 for 2 days???? Plus I hired one interpreter for my mom's funeral service, the agency charged me 350 for one hour??? My gosh!!! Also, I work for a company...they have to have hired one or 2 interpreters month to month...if any meeting has no interpreter presented, I would get up and walk out of the room. Union is my powerful eagle's eyes! They made the company hire an interpreter since I was hired to work there....I hope the agencies should not charge deaf people that hire interpreters...you know deaf people can't afford as much as the large or big companies can!
